New Bern Sunset Sailboat Cruise
New Bern Sunset Sailboat Cruise
There is something about the water that draws me to it. So when I had an opportunity to take a sunset sailboard cruise in New Bern, North Carolina, I had to do it. What a nice way to spend an evening but sailing the Neuse River while watching the sunset. It was one of those oppressive southern evenings. Going out on the water would feel good. That’s what we did as a family. After taking in New Bern’s historic downtown and having a nice meal, we headed over to the docks to board the Bolero. Captain Paul was waiting for us.
There is nothing like being out on the water. The motion. The breeze. The noise. Wonderful. And being on a sailboat which sailed the world over only made it even more special. I could imagine the stories the Bolero could tell if she could talk.
Ever since Duran Duran’s Rio Video
I’ve always wanted to learn how to sail. Actually, the first time I saw Duran Duran’s music video, Rio, I wanted to be on a sailboat.
I love how being on a sailing vessel makes me feel. It is comfortable. Almost comforting to me. Joining Captain Paul on the Bolero for the evening sailing the waters of the Neuse River confirmed my desire to sail.
