There are many dishes I love in Indo-Chinese-Dutch cooking. Krupuk (Udang) or shrimp crackers are one of my favorites from this cuisine. They can be a snack or part of a main meal.

They don’t look like much when you take them out of the package; however, when you place them in a deep fryer or wok, they come alive turning into crispy perfection coming in two sizes.

In the US, you can get Krupuk in a few Asian grocery stores, but in The Netherlands you can get them ready-made with favors such as sate. Sort of like how we eat potato chips in the US.

Krupuk is quick and easy make. And so addictive!

Quick note, it does contain eggs and shellfish so may not be the best choice for everyone.
